Latest Logo

Just finished a logo design for this start-up business that sounds pretty awesome. They're mechanics...but not like the dicks most people are used to. They're all about empowering folks and building a community. AND they don't rip people off. Niiiice.

We wanted to go in a direction that would mix 50s nostalgia with a "power-to-the-people" sentiment without coming across all rockabilly. A lot of my inspiration came from old oil cans and the use of blue & red together.

Oh, the name is also an homage to the days when gay folks would identify themselves as such by tattooing a blue star on the inside of their wrists.

Post 100!

I was hoping that by coincidence I would find myself posting about something really awesome (like finding a job) for my 100th post on this blog. Guess not. Instead, here are photos from the Psychedelic Summer show in NYC! More nyc pics to come...roughly a weeks worth.

Side note: I hate nyc in the summer. It feels sooo good to be back home.

Recent Work

My friends are starting up a business and I've been helping them with the branding process. We're towards the end of the logo creation process, but I thought I'd put up the three finalists since I kinda liked all three for different reasons.

I guess this is actually more of a proposed biz card design
