A Glimpse at PAX

Went to PAX yesterday and it was insane. There was a shortage of passes, so I had to wait about an hour until I could get one. I went across the street and paid $8 for a crummy beer at Cheesecake Factory. Never again.

PAX blew me away. The convention center was completely transformed. Note, this is the same place I had my high school graduation ceremony (for the record, PAX was much more enjoyable).

I took some photos on my crappy phone camera of things that caught my eye:

This guy was describing the play-by-play of the gamer.
Kind of like a newscaster, but nerdier.

A game that I am all too familiar with thanks to work.

I wanted to try this game out, but the line was too long.
Maybe I'll get it.

I had just finished designing some email art for this game.
Kind of cool to see it in action.

Princess!

The pizza on the counter cracks me up.

At the end of the day, the games I'm most excited for are:
  • Mass Effect 3--- holy crap the gameplay looked awesome and the way you upgrade weapons looks way better
  • Borderlands 2--- although I didn't get to see much of it, so I'm pretty in the dark about what improvements they made
  • Bioshock Infinite--- looks beautiful, but still kind of scares me
  • Rocksmith--- I really really wish I could have demo-ed this game because it sounds like a brilliant idea
